In the interest of providing you, my readers, with as much value and utility possible, I’ve put together a massive list of Digital Marketing Tools & Resources (most of which are free!) which you can use to help dominate your digital marketing.
I will be constantly adding to this article as I discover new digital marketing tools, resources, hardware, hacks and how-to’s.

LANDING PAGE & WEBSITE TOOLS:
Landing pages are one of the first points of entry for any digital conversion funnel. As such they play a crucial role in the ultimate success of everything you do online. When it comes to creating and installing landing pages, Leadpages is one of the quickest and easiest to use platforms I’ve ever come across. And the best part is, you don’t need to know a single thing about coding or design to use this awesome plug and play platform.
Leadpages is also one of the most competitively priced landing page solutions currently available, with plans starting from as little as $25 per month. They also offer a 30 day money-back guarantee, just in case you get cold feet and change your mind!
Click here to get started with Leadpages.
Themeforest is perfect for those looking for something a little more advanced and customisable than Unbounce. With 1000’s of website templates and landing pages to choose from, Themeforest has got your back.
I have nothing but amazing things to say about this theme, its level of customisation options and the great Support Forum it features.
EMAIL MARKETING TOOLS & RESOURCES:
Do you currently do email marketing?
If so, what platform are you using at the moment?
I used to use Mailchimp for my email marketing, however I abandoned it after a few months of stressful frustration. Whilst I found Mailchimp was good for sending email blasts and building subscribers – it’s automation and segmentation features are VERY counterintuitive.
Not something you want to deal with when you’re trying to use these tools to SAVE time, not waste it.
This led me on a three month search for an alternative solution…
Until I finally stumbled across an email marketing platform called ConvertKit – which has been nothing but AMAZING since I started using it.
Beyond its very intuitive “IFTTT” based user interface (their founder – Nathan Barry – is a wizard) it’s also equipped with an awesome set of ready-to-go list building features such as:
✔︎ Responsive Forms
✔︎ Landing Pages
✔︎ List Builder Pop Ups
✔︎ Exit Intent Pop Ups (see the video below for an example)
✔︎ Slide Out Pop Ups
✔︎ Naked Forms
✔︎ Automation Tools
✔︎ Segmentation Tools
✔︎ And many more…
It’s only $29 / month for <1,000 subscribers… which feels a little bit like daylight robbery to me.
I definitely recommend checking out this platform to see if its right for you.

SOCIAL MEDIA TOOLS:
Split testing your Ad Sets and Ads is an essential part of any successful Facebook Campaign. The trouble is, creating, managing and optimising your split testing can be very time consuming, even when you are using Facebook’s Power Editor.
This is exactly why I use AdEspresso. This powerful tool allows Facebook Advertisers to easily and effortlessly create multivariate, split test campaigns for their Facebook Ad Sets and Ads. It also automatically optimises your campaigns for you to ensure you are getting the best return on your ad spend, no matter what – this means, decreased CPC’s, CPA’s and ultimately, increased sales.
For those of you who swear by Hootsuite for your social media scheduling, I’d like you to MeetEdgar. Edgar is a must use tool for any digital marketer who is serious about saving time and automating their content delivery to their audience.
Unlike Hootsuite’s schedule, publish and disappear content functionality, Edgar stores all of your scheduled updates in a category-based library, where they remain even after they’ve been posted once. This means you can automatically repost and reschedule past updates without having to manually schedule them again! In a world where attention and time are everything, Edgar has got your back.
WORDPRESS PLUGINS I USE:
SumoMe is a MUST install tool for any marketer looking to increase their website’s lead generation. With tools like ‘Welcome Mat,’ ‘List Builder,’ ‘Heat Maps,’ and ‘Smart Bar,’ marketers can easily 10x their website’s lead generation in a matter of minutes. Not to mention, you can access all of SumoMe’s awesome tools for free!
VLOGGING & VIDEO TOOLS:

GOOGLE CHROME PLUGINS:
TOOLS FOR AUTOMATION & INTEGRATION:
If This Then That (IFTTT) is a web-based platform that allows you to create chains of simple commands (known as “recipes”) that are triggered when a specific action is made on a social network (e.g. posting content to Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter etc).
Most seasoned Social Media Marketers leverage the power of IFTTT to automate all sorts of time consuming tasks such as:
- auto-posting Instagram photos natively to Twitter (allowing you to actually see the Instagram photo natively on your Twitter feed with one click – as opposed to a nasty URL)
- auto-archiving any of your social content in Dropbox folders for future ease of access
- auto-syncing your Facebook Profile photo with your Twitter Profile photo whenever you update your photo
When time is arguably you’re most precious asset, IFTTT has got your back.
While IFTTT is great for automating basic commands and tasks, it falls short for those needing a more robust solution for data automation and integration.
It’s all g though, because our friends over at Zapier have our backs.
Zapier allows all of my different tools to easily connect with one another. For example, whenever I sell an online course via Thinkific, Zapier automatically creates an invoice in my accounting software (Xero) based on the sale information processed by my payment gateway (Stripe). This saves me HOURS of mundane time and effort I’d need to allocate to manually enter in all of those invoices.
Zapier works with thousands of different apps, from Trello to Mailchimp to Dropbox to Paypal. And the best part is, you don’t need to know a single thing about coding to use this awesome tool!
ANALYTICS & REPORTING:
HARDWARE I COULD NOT WORK WITHOUT
Please note I have not personally used the product linked, but I still highly recommend adding a USB Hub to your desktop setup.
After spending more than two years screensharing between my 15″ Macbook Pro and an embarrassingly inefficient Toshiba LCD, I decided it was time to upgrade my desktop swag.
As an Apple fan boy (yes I have sipped their Kool-Aid) my immediate first thought was to go with an Apple Cinema Display. Having used this Display for over a year and half (and loving it) when I was working at Digital Union, it seemed like the wise choice. However given its lack of 4K Resolution, its hectic price point and in lieu of Apple realising a 5K Cinema Display (they clearly have the technology ready), I decided to give an Ultra Wide monitor a go.
After doing a LOT of research, I ended up going with LG’s 34UC97 Cineview Curved Ultrawide LED Monitor and I have not had one single regret since.
It’s 3440 x 1440 Curved Display makes working with multiple windows (I run three side by side most of the time) a very streamlined and efficient experience (I use BetterSnapTool for auto resizing of windows).
The resolution is also crystal clear and it’s aesthetics as a desk piece rival that of any Apple device IMO. It was also one of the very few high end displays that was compatible with my Mid 2012 MacBook Pro – which was a big bonus given I was considering upgrading my MacBook at one point.
Connection via Thunderbolt 2 provides a zero latency experience with no refresh issues. The Thunderbolt 2 connection also allows you to play music through the display’s inbuilt speakers (not the best to be honest, but I didn’t buy it for its speakers haha) whilst simultaneously running 2 USB 3.0 ports (I must admit these USB ports are a sweet feature but are in a very inconvenient place at the back of the monitor).
1000% recommend this display to anyone wanting to take their digital working space to the next level. Click here to order online.
The wallet for the security conscious minimalist.
The Secrid Slim Wallet is pretty awesome. Boasting a minimalist, semi-mechanic design at only 14mm in thickness, this wallet can hold banknotes and a maximum of 12 cards.
I’ve included it on this list because in addition to be a super sexy wallet, It’s also the only wallet I’ve ever used which features RFID protection; which prevents hackers from stealing your privacy and credit card numbers when you’re on the move.
Full written reviews and more resources coming soon.
